Welcome, my name is Jack Love. I have been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California since 1976. I provide counseling and psychotherapy for families and individuals. I specialize in divorce and custody related counseling and psychotherapy, mediation, evaluation, and consultation.

Over the past 20 years, I have been appointed by the Courts in Sacramento and surrounding counties to serve as a Child Custody Recommending Counselor (CCRC), Child Custody Evaluator, Parenting Coordinator, Special Master, and Expert Witness. I have extensive knowledge of and experience with the Court’s processes and procedures.

In addition to confidential counseling and therapy, I offer confidential mediation services to families who have reached a stalemate and desire to enhance their family communication or avoid entanglement with the family court system. I also provide confidential consultation services for attorneys, and parents preparing for CCRC or custody evaluations.

In 2022 I was honored to receive the Charles Kobayashi Award for Significant Contributions in Family Law. I am a member of the following professional organizations: The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (Clinical Fellow), Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), American Psychological Association, Sacramento Valley Child Custody Mediators and Evaluators, and the Sacramento County Bar Association.

My wife and Practice Manager, Cindy, and I have a blended family with several children and grandchildren. Families and relationships are the top priorities in our personal and professional lives. I think we derive meaning and purpose in life through our relationships with others. We can experience intimacy in the context of our relationships and, ultimately, it is intimacy that we seek in our quest for a fuller, and more satisfying life.

Since I also think that our families provide the foundation for our emotional experience, as well as our future relationships, I have devoted my professional life to studying, understanding, and helping families and their members.

If you would like more information about any of my services, please call or email. Thank you.
